  • The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator (IEEA) matches energy efficient technologies with companies willing to implement them. Successful applicants typically receive between 40 and 60% of the funding required for their project, with the IEEA contributing between £150,000 and £1 million per project.

How can energy policy better support SMEs on the path to Net Zero?

The Climate Change Committee (CCC) commissioned Energy Saving Trust to better understand the actions needed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to assess existing climate policies that impact SMEs and suggest new or strengthened policies. The research involved interviews with SMEs covering four low-commitment, high-emission sectors (horticulture; garment manufacturing; electrical, plumbing and other construction installation activities; restaurants).
