The hotel is committed to a green and sustainable future with great efforts over the past year to maximize energy and water savings.

Work currently underway includes the installation of LED lighting panels in the apartment kitchens, which will reduce the light output by 50% per luminaire. New luminaires with integrated motion detectors are also mounted in the stairwells of the fire escapes, resulting in additional savings of AED 8,000 per year.

HVAC equipment is upgraded with new inverter type split units replacing the fixed flow compressor units. Plans are in place to change 8 units out of a total of 16 units, which will result in an energy saving of 50%. In addition, new PVC infills have already been installed to improve the operational efficiency of the cooling towers.

To minimize water consumption, flow restrictors were installed on the shower heads in the bathrooms specially designed for Muslim customers. In addition, hands-free taps have been installed in all public toilets to improve hygiene standards.

Reduce waste
