Gexa works towards clean energy with CyrusOne’s renewable energy PPAs

CyrusOne Inc., a global data center developer and operator specializing in providing state-of-the-art digital infrastructure solutions, purchases solar and wind energy delivered to the power grid. Energy Edge advised CyrusOne on the transaction and helped locate and secure the two complementary assets.

“Gexa Energy is proud to work with CyrusOne on this innovative retail and renewable energy structure, designed to meet their sustainability goals,” said Brian Landrum, President of Gexa Energy. “Integrating new renewable assets into a retail electricity supply agreement offers the advantage of a long-term renewable transaction without the complications and risks of a traditional PPA. Organizations are now looking to step up their decarbonization efforts. Gexa Energy is uniquely positioned to deliver tailored carbon reduction solutions as a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, with a renewable portfolio of over 17,000 MW of wind and solar assets in the United States and Canada.
